Robert Glasper continues to make waves throughout the music world as leader of both the acoustic Robert Glasper Trio and the electric, hip-hop-influenced Robert Glasper Experiment. Glasper “shows why cats from Mos Def to Roy Hargrove have sought him out-proving that subtlety and soul are natural allies” (VIBE). His latest Blue Note Records release, Double-Booked (2009), displays this enviable versatility front and center.

The Experiment blends funky jazz with electric hip-hop beats, and is comprised of internationally acclaimed cross-genre masters: drummer Chris Dave (Pat Metheny, Dolly Parton, and Mos Def), bassist Derrick Hodge (Kanye West, Timbaland, and Herbie Hancock), and saxophonist & vocodist Casey Benjamin. Special guests have included Q-Tip, Mos Def, Terence Blanchard and Bilal.
